    We are hiring a creative florist and retail assistant to join the GRDN team.  Responsibilities include: purchase and manage flower stock and materials; create floral arrangements for a variety of themes; manage website and social media content including creating and documenting floral work, developing social media calendars, and creating captions and posting; liaise with existing and new clients to bring creative concepts to fruition.  Looking for someone who can work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a can-do attitude. Excellent communication and written skills and several years experience in the floral industry a must.  This role will also include general store assistance with customer face-time and some heavy lifting.  We are looking for a creative florist with a passion for flowers and a sense of humor who is willing to grow and develop with the business.  Position to start in spring!  Please send resume, samples of your work and references to:  Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you want to work at GRDN.

    30-40 hours a week.

    We are so excited to host Michele Quan of Mquan Studio for our GRDN and THE MOON breakfast workshop.  Join us to learn more about Michele and the inspirations, processes, and materials she uses.

    Guests will make a pinch bowl with Michele. We will write down our New Moon Intentions and put it in the bowl.  Michele will burn them when she fires the bowl. Bowls can be picked up at GRDN. 

    Mamie Brougitte will be back with their amazing cakes for a breakfast cake inspired by Michele's work. 

    Grace Galenti from Furnace Creek Farms will to provide Herbal Elixirs. Grace is a farmer and an herbalist. 

    The workshop takes place on Sept 9, 2018 at GRDN  between 9:00am and 11:00am.

    Hear inspiring stories from local artists, chefs, farmers, herbalists, gardeners, and flower lovers while enjoying elixirs from Furnace Creek Farm, and Rishi Teas and Botanicals.

    Marion, founder of Mamie Brougitte Cakes, will demonstrate how she uses sugar to create delicate masterpieces of lace, flowers, and other ornaments, transforming a simple cake into an intricate and magical art piece.  

    Guests will receive a "new moon" bouquet from GRDN and a keepsake breakfast cake adorned with it's own unique sugar flower boutonniere crafted by Mamie Brougitte Cakes.  

    The workshop will be from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.  Space is limited.  Please R.S.V.P. by 7/10/18.  Those unable to attend the breakfast can order the bouquet and cake to be picked up or delivered. Deliveries will be made on 7/12/18.
